Acne Myths - What Can't Cause Ance

Some common acne myths:

1) Diet – despite dozens researches concerning the possible diet effects on acne, the results are vague at best. While there are still scientists that claim they have found a connection between what we eat and the probability of suffering from acne, they still lack any undeniable proofs.

2) Sex – one of the most common myths about acne is its connection to sex (and namely, to the lack of it). The male hormones' level is unaffected by having (or not having) sex, so there is no link between that and the severity of acne.

3) Hygiene – the direct reason of acne is the level of testosterone (and, to the lesser extent, other male hormones), not personal hygiene. What is more, if the skin is cleaned too often or too hard, it often becomes irritated, increasing acne symptoms.
